Here is a very different kind of win: the victory over reactivity.
George is a mature rescue French Bulldog, who has been with his new owner for two months.
With this team, our main goal was to teach George’s owner how to deal with his outbursts and how to build rapport and trust with this little stubborn and grumpy dog, who is set in his ways and who has so much heart and personality.
This video isn’t particularly “flashy” (like Hex’s heeling is, for instance). George just kind of sits there, looking relaxed. Boring, right?
Wrong!
6 weeks ago, relaxing in such a close proximity to other dogs—AND letting a stranger touch his head—was absolutely unthinkable for George.
And yet here he is today, just chilling by his owner’s side.
Of course, things aren’t always perfect—both George and his owner are just starting to learn. But this moment in time was absolutely perfect. Hence, enjoy this largely unedited video, with raw sound and raw emotions.
