This course is designed for beginners with no prior experience. Handlers will learn how to build a meaningful connection with their dogs, which is an essential foundation for any type of training. The course focuses on teaching basic commands such as recall, focus, “sit” and “down,” while also addressing everyday manners. The course runs for six weeks. Each week, handlers will receive homework tailored to their specific situation. These exercises are designed to integrate newly learned concepts into daily routines, supporting better retention and leading to lasting, high-quality results.

Tracking

Tracking is an activity that utilizes a dog's inherent desire to sniff and track scents. We are channelling this desire and teaching a dog to follow human footsteps with their nose and, ultimately, find "lost" items, which can include dropped gloves, keys, and wallets. The course is suitable for both beginners with no prior tracking experience and for those wishing to troubleshoot issues in tracking or advance their current skills. We will work on different ways to lay corners, on article indication, and on tracking across different surfaces. The length of this course is 6 weeks, and each week handlers will be assigned a homework tailored to their particular situation. The goal of these exercises is to solidify the newly learned concepts.
