This successful achievement of the ultimate goal does not just look cool; it also brings a tremendous amount of confidence into a dog's disposition. The kind of confidence any life being experiences upon successfully completing a task.
This confidence boost is also why I often recommend enrolling an anxious or insecure dog in a course that seems to have nothing to do with everyday obedience or with solving the existing behavioural issues. Nevertheless, such a course is extremely beneficial and effective in setting a foundation for good habits, confident problem-solving and, ultimately, good canine citizenship.
